Frito Lay Canada begins Oscar Red Carpet contest

Frito Lay Canada has begun an online contest in association with YummyMummyClub.ca to promote its Smartfood Popcorn Clusters. Called the "Oscar Red Carpet Contest," the initiative encourages consumers to submit predictions for the winners of this year's Academy Awards at <http://www.yummymummyclub.ca/oscars>. Entrants who correctly pick three winners will be entered into a draw for a $1,000 gift certificate that can be redeemed at a Fairview Cadillac mall. The contest will close on March 7. The promotion was developed by Spoke Agency. "Frito Lay Canada understands that marketing to moms goes beyond the stereotypical mommy-themed campaign," said Erica Ehm, founder of YummyMummyClub.ca. "It is too often forgotten that moms are women too, and should not just be targeted via their children or the label of motherhood. We are holding YummyMummyClub.ca and Smartfood Popcorn Clusters-themed Oscar parties across Canada to encourage mummies to get out, and have fun."
