Toronto Entertainment District rebrands

The Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area has debuted a new brand identity, developed by Scott Thornley and Company of Toronto. The initial phase of the roll-out is aimed at member businesses and residents. It includes branded USB keys, T-shirts, tote bags and caps, which are being distributed through promotional events at various member businesses. The effort also includes pole signs and store window stickers. The creative features a new logo consisting of a stylized E and D, as well as the tagline, "Plug in." The materials encourage consumers to visit the district's new website at <http://www.torontoed.com>. "Branding Toronto's Entertainment District was not an easy challenge because of the many and diverse stakeholders in our area but Scott and his team successfully connected all of our businesses with a fantastic logo, wordmark and tagline," said Janice Solomon, executive director of the district. "It is the basis, the creative foundation, upon which we will begin telling the stories that bring this marvelous neighbourhood to life."
