Toronto Entertainment District launches ambassador program

The Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area has begun a new initiative involving promotional workers engaging with visitors on the streets. The workers will offer information and assistance to pedestrians in the area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until Sept. 6. According to the organization, the program is a response to the increasing number of events being held in the area and the additional visitors they attract.

"With June being the first month in the inaugural year of the Ambassador program, we have already been able to provide significantly improved interactions with visitors from all over the world," said Janice Solomon, executive director of the organization. "The team ensures we are able to deliver advice on wayfinding and also address enquiries on transportation, events and dining."

The Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area works to promote the section of downtown Toronto including venues such as the Air Canada Centre, the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, the CN Tower, Steam Whistle Brewing, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Rogers Centre, Roy Thomson Hall, the Princess of Wales Theatre, the Royal Alexandra Theatre and the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
