Magazines Canada launches digital newsstand

Magazines Canada of Toronto has launched a new service called the "Magazines Canada Digital Newsstand." The bilingual service allows consumers to purchase magazines in a digital format. Available titles include Alberta Venture, The Beaver, Breathe Magazine, Canadian Living, Cottage Life, Elle Canada, The Hockey News, Homemakers, Maclean's, More, Saltscapes, SkyNews, Style at Home, The Walrus, Wine Access, Zamoof and others. Magazines Canada is operating the service in association with Zinio of San Francisco. It is located at <http://magazinescanada.zinio.com>. "We're very excited to partner with Zinio to offer Canadian print magazines, not only within Canada but globally, in a convenient and economical digital format," said Laurie Alpern, director of communications at Magazines Canada. "The power of high-quality content has never been more important, and now by offering digital magazines, Magazines Canada and its members are ensuring that their favourite titles are available to a wider audience, to be enjoyed wherever and whenever their readers wish."
