Joey Restaurant Group retains Maverick Public Relations

Vancouver-based Joey Restaurant Group has hired Maverick Public Relations of Toronto as its agency of record in Ontario. The company will open its first restaurant in that province in Toronto on Sept. 18. The assignment includes media relations and social media activities for the launch, as well as event support for an opening party. Maverick was selected in a competitive search involving an unknown number of firms. "Joey Restaurant Group's expansion into Ontario represents an exciting and significant step for our company, requiring an experienced PR partner to lead the charge," said Britt Innes, marketing director at Joey Restaurant Group. "Maverick's creative energy and track record of successfully launching brands to this market was the winning combination."
