TMX Group hires marketing vice-president

Toronto-based TMX Group has appointed Ronald Alepian to the position of vice-president of marketing and corporate communications. He will oversee marketing strategy, brand development, employee communications, media relations and public affairs. Alepian was most recently vice-president of global communications and corporate marketing at Nortel. Prior to that, he led financial and corporate communications at Bell Canada and BCE. He also spent 10 years at National Public Relations. TMX Group operates the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, Montreal Exchange, Natural Gas Exchange, Boston Options Exchange, Shorcan, Equicom and other companies.
