Evergreen begins awareness campaign
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based not-for-profit organization Evergreen has begun a marketing campaign called, "Be the Root." The campaign, developed by Zig of Toronto, is intended to raise awareness of the organization's efforts to preserve nature in urban areas. The initiative consists of national print, television and poster advertising aimed at Canadians who live in urban spaces. It encourages viewers to visit a website at Evergreen.ca for information on ways to improve their local environment. "Our mandate is to deepen the connection between people and nature and empower Canadians to take a hands-on approach to their urban environments," said Matthew Church, marketing and development director at Evergreen. "This is one small step in the movement towards achieving a sustainable society, where individuals are empowered to contribute in meaningful ways to their local environments."
