Honda promotes hybrid with tree saplings

Honda Canada conducted a promotion yesterday in support of its 2010 Honda Insight hybrid vehicle. On April 22, the company distributed 15,000 evergreen tree saplings to consumers in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. The initiative was developed by the event marketing division of Newad. "We developed this promotion for Honda as another way of demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility and to help inspire positive change in Canada's major urban centres," said Shawn Chance, event marketing director at Newad in Toronto. "By providing consumers with the tree saplings, we are engaging them in the cause and encouraging them to become more environmentally responsible."
