Best Buy promotes Twilight DVD

Best Buy Canada has begun an online promotion in support of the upcoming DVD release of the film Twilight on March 21. The initiative makes use of a website at <http://www.twilightlovenotes.ca>, which Facebook users can use to receive daily messages from film character Edward Cullen. Readers can reply to these messages. The replies will be posted on the website for public voting. The submitters of replies will be entered in a draw for Best Buy gift cards and copies of the DVD. The campaign was developed by Zig of Toronto. "Many of ‘Twilight's biggest fans spend significant time connecting with their friends on Facebook," said Cameron Wykes, executive digital creative director at Zig. "We found that they are vocal about their enthusiasm for the movie, so we created another method for them to broadcast their excitement."
