ViniPortugal retains Budman and Associates

ViniPortugal has hired Toronto-based Budman and Associates to handle its communications efforts in Canada. ViniPortugal is a trade association that promotes Portuguese wine, brandy and vinegar domestically and internationally. Budman will develop a public relations program intended to raise awareness of Portuguese wines in Canada. The program will include media relations, promotions, corporate communications and trade communications. "We are creating a campaign that will help educate the Canadian marketplace about the high-quality, great value wines that Portugal has to offer," said Márcio Ferreira, area manager at ViniPortugal. "We are confident that Budman and Associates will increase the knowledge and appreciation of the current state of Portuguese winemaking among the press, trade and consumers."
