The Atlantic Community Newspapers Association has hired Toronto-based Canadian Primedia Sales & Marketing to handle national advertising sales representation for its 65 publications. According to the company, the 65 community newspapers represented by the association have an audited circulation of 445,000 per week and reach approximately one million readers in four provinces. "Canadian Primedia is Canada's leading independent print rep shop and their performance and reputation are first class," said Mike Kierstead, executive director of the association. "Their knowledge of Atlantic Canada is vast and we are very confident of their ability to drive incremental revenue in these challenging times."

Toronto-based website Woman.ca has signed an online advertising sales representation agreement with Redux Media of Montreal. Under the terms of the deal, Redux has exclusive rights to market and sell the site's national advertising traffic in Canada. Woman.ca offers content on topics including health, home, family, fashion, travel, gossip, trends and green living."It was very important for us to identify an advertising partner that understands the very powerful and rapidly evolving Canadian women's market online," said site founder Yoav Cohen.
