LEWISCRAFT SOLD
By Adnews Staff
The Toronto-based arts and crafts chain Lewiscraft has been bought by a partnership consisting of Former Black Photo Corp. president Eddie Black, private company Westock Capital and Gord Lewis, a great-grandson Lewiscraft's founder. The chain, which has been privately-owned since it began operating in 1913, has two 13,000 square-foot superstores in Toronto, and the new owners are planning on opening four more later this year. In addition, about 20% of the floor space will be set aside so customers can sell their wares on consignment. Currently, advertising for Lewiscraft is done by Saffer Group of Toronto.
