MUSIC SHOPPING ON THE WEB

Andersen Consulting of Chicago has launched an experimental software system that lets World Wide Web users bargain shop for compact discs. Called BargainFinder, the system lets a user enter a disc title and artist, and click a button labeled "Shop for the Album." The system then reports back where it can be found, and the prices. The system is part of a broader Andersen experiment to study electronic commerce.
