CHUM Radio launches The Bounce in Halifax

CHUM Radio has launched a new FM radio station in Halifax called 101.3 The Bounce. The station's format consists of Top 40 popular music. It is aimed at the city's youth market. "This station will be 100 percent committed to delivering the hottest hit music," said Rob Basile, the station's program director. "With the latest songs from top artists like Usher, Nelly Furtado and Timbaland, we'll be the go-to destination for hit music." The station was previously an AM station called CJCH that played primarily oldies music and call-in shows. CHUM also operates C100FM in Halifax. CHUM Radio is a division of CTVglobemedia.
