Corus Radio readies new news station in Edmonton

Corus Radio will launch a new all-news radio station called INews880 in Edmonton in May. The station will broadcast a 30-minute loop of news, weather and traffic. In what the company claims to be a first for Canadian radio, the station will also carry local news generated by visitors to the website <http://www.inews880.com>. "Corus Radio's commitment has always been to provide credible and immediate news coverage to the people of northern Alberta and the world," said Doug Rutherford, general manager of Corus Radio Edmonton. "INews880 will bring audiences news when they want it and how they want it, with their direct involvement."
