Vortex Mobile created social networking division

Toronto-based Vortex Mobile has launched a new division called Vortex Social that will specialize in branded applications for social networking websites, particularly Facebook.com. "Every marketer wants to engage Facebook's millions of Canadian users, but there's a fine line between a great app and one that does nothing for your brand," said managing partner Adrian Schauer. "Our approach demands that we offer clients a solution that we'd want to add to our own profiles." According to the company, it will soon release a number of branded Facebook applications including personality profilers, interactive product experiences, voting widgets and audio widgets.
