Yahoo Canada begins Be a Better campaign

Toronto-based Yahoo Canada has begun a six-week promotion called, "Be a Better." During the initiative, which began on Oct. 26, promotional workers will visit campuses, nightclubs and other locations in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto to encourage people to enter. They will carry video cameras and a variety of background images. To enter, participants must submit a video of themselves describing how a friend or family member could be better in some way. The videos will be posted online at <>. By logging into the site with their name and email address, visitors will become eligible to win a daily cash prize ranging from $100 to $1,000. "This campaign is a fun way for Canadians to communicate something special to their loved ones, while getting to know Yahoo Canada's video sharing tools," said Hunter Madsen, director of marketing at Yahoo Canada. "This contest engages users with a platform that aims to expose more Canadians to Yahoo properties and get exposure for Yahoo both on the streets and online."
