Crime Stoppers begins Internet safety campaign

Crime Stoppers has begun an out-of-home campaign in Toronto intended to raise awareness of Internet safety. The campaign, which is aimed at parents, is running on the OneStop inventory of digital displays installed in the Toronto Transit Commission subway system. The ads offer safety tips and information for parents on topics including online bullying and peer pressure, as well as other suspicious online behaviour. "It was an obvious choice to partner with OneStop Network on this campaign as the subway systems are filled with millions of parents on a weekly basis," said Lorne Simon, chair of Crime Stoppers. "The Internet safety campaign will remind parents of the potential dangers online and how to prevent them."
