Developing World Connections begins rebranding initiative

Vancouver-based Developing World Connections has retained MacLaren McCann to develop a new brand identity for the organization intended to raise its profile and increase its appeal to corporations. The non-profit organization works to attract volunteers to take vacations in impoverished countries and participate in community projects such as housing construction, farming and child care. “One of the major potential sources of volunteers for us moving forward is going to be companies and organizations sending their employees on trips with us to grow and develop as people and as leaders,” said Developing World Connections president Wayne McRann. “MacLaren McCann is helping us to refine our message and present a more professional image, which will be key in approaching the corporate world.” The new brand identity depicts the organization as a route to personal and professional development. The identity includes a new logo and a new emphasis on the group’s full name rather than its initials. The agency is also developing a new website for the group.
