The Ontario Ministry of Tourism has begun a new advertising campaign intended to promote the province’s festivals and special events. The campaign, which is aimed at the domestic market, will include television, theatre and billboard advertising, as well as Web-based promotions. The ads will begin running on March 19 on television and in theatres. The print ads will run in several languages. Visitors to the OntarioTravel.net website will be able to order brochures and sign-up for email vacation suggestions. “Getting more Ontarians travelling in Ontario is the best way to increase tourism in the province this year,” said Tourism Minister Jim Bradley. “Our campaign is designed to help expand festivals and events and make it easier to plan your Ontario holiday, and encouraging Ontarians to explore the province.”
