Metroland buys Good Food Festival & Market

Toronto-based Metroland Printing, Publishing & Distributing, a subsidiary of Torstar, has acquired the Good Food Festival & Market from its founder and owner, Lynda Chubak. The show, an annual nutrition and cuisine event held in Mississauga, will be managed by the company’s Premier Shows division. No financial details are available. Lianne Hubbard will join Premier as the event’s show and sales manager. “We're very pleased to take over this high-profile, well-managed show, especially in light of today's increased focus on health, wellness and nutrition,” said Cathryn Oliver, general manager of Premier. “Our entire marketing team will continue to support and sustain the show's exhibitor base while enhancing the brand from a consumer perspective.” Premier Shows also operates the National Bridal Shows, the Golf & Travel Show, the Wine & Cheese Show and the Travel & Leisure Shows, among others. The 2007 Good Food Festival & Market will take place from April 27 to 29.
