GJP Advertising opens land development practice

GJP Advertising of Toronto has opened a land development practice. The new division will offer marketing services to clients in the real estate and property development industry, including planning, account management, advertising creative, branding, design and direct marketing, as well as interactive, media and production services. “In the past, a lot of land development marketing has been undifferentiated and hasn’t taken a multi-disciplinary approach,” said Kevin Pfuhl, executive vice-president and strategy director at GJP. “We recognized a need for this growing and competitive industry to have access to more creative and multi-channel marketing solutions under one roof.” To lead the practice, the agency has hired Brian Steinhauser as vice-president of business development and Michael Willson as vice-president and associate creative director. Steinhauser and Willson are the co-founders of Buddhabutter, a two-year old agency with a client list including Harhay Construction Management, Clublink, Tricon Capital Group and The Pugly Awards. The firm has been dissolved and its clients transferred to GJP. GJP’s other real estate clients include Plazacorp, High-Rise and Panterra Federated Properties.
