Columbia Brewery conducts Glacier Girl search

Columbia Brewery of Creston, BC, has begun another contest to find a new “Glacier Girl” to appear in television commercials for Kokanee beer. Twelve semi-finalists will be selected during auditions at bars in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba in September. Contestants will be judged on athleticism and acting skill, as demonstrated in a “Capture the Sasquatch” scene. One semi-finalist will be selected by public voting from among the entries submitted through the company’s website at <http://www.kokaneebeer.com>. The winner will be picked by a panel of celebrity judges at an event in Vancouver on September 28. The winner will receive a contract to appear in upcoming Kokanee TV ads. “We are really looking forward to the search and can't wait to see the talent and energy of the Glacier Girl hopefuls,” said Kokanee brewmaster Jason Leithead. “The Kokanee Glacier Girls act as ambassadors for a mountain lifestyle that is truly representative of western Canada.” Advertising for Columbia Brewery is handled by Grip.
