Sponsorship roundup

Microsoft Canada has signed-on as the title sponsor of the Toronto-based Mobile Jam Fest to promote its Windows Live services. The festival is aimed at young people aged 14 to 24. From Sept. 4 to Oct. 30, participants are invited to submit two-minute films to the event’s website at <http://www.mobilejamfest.com>. Viewers will be able to watch and vote for the films at the site, by mobile phone and at the National Film Board Mediatheque theatre in Toronto. As a result of Microsoft’s sponsorship, the films will also be available through Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Spaces and Sympatico/MSN Video. “Mobile Jam Fest recognizes and awards the unlimited creative capacity of today's youth,” said Sumeet Khanna, director of Windows Live Services for Microsoft Canada. “They're world is online and this festival uses the Web to give them a loud voice. Windows Live is all about bringing people together to communicate and share, and this is a fantastic expression of that goal.”
