Passage: Jacques Bouchard

Jacques Bouchard passed away yesterday at the age of 75 after a long illness. Bouchard founded BCP in 1963, the first French-language creative agency in Quebec. In 1959 he co-founded the Publicité-Club de Montréal. In 1978 he published “Differences: How French Canadians Live, Love and Think Today,” a study of culture in Quebec. He also founded the Centre international de publicité sociétale in 1981 and the Mondial de la publicité francophone in 1987. He retired from BCP in 1984. Bouchard became a member of the Order of Canada in 1999 and a member of the Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2002.
