NEW VERSION OF NETFINITY

U.S.-based International Business Machines Corp. is introducing a new version of its NetFinity PC systems and asset management software to the North American market in mid-July. Called NetFinity 3.0, the software lets computer network system administrators predict system failures, and to do it from a remote site. NetFinity also offers remote dial-in support, automatic scheduling of events and detection and monitoring of disk drive failures. NetFinity will be bundled with most IBM servers and commercial desktop machines. Print advertising will run for the new software, created by Ogilvy & Mather of New York and localized by the agency's Toronto office.
