Fleishman-Hillard, GPC Public Affairs merge operations

Public relations agency Fleishman-Hillard Canada of Toronto has absorbed the operations of GPC Public Affairs, a communications, government relations and opinion research firm. The combined company has offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. "For five years, GPC has been an important part of the Fleishman-Hillard network of companies," said John Graham, chairman and CEO of Fleishman-Hillard. "This new, more formal alignment creates the best of both worlds, allowing both companies to deliver greater value to clients." The firm will be jointly led by Michael von Herff, formerly executive vice-president of GPC, and Linda Smith, executive vice-president, senior partner and regional director of Fleishman-Hillard. They will be co-chairs of the company's newly-established national management committee.
