Adopt a Village PSA released

CHUM Television of Toronto has released a new public service announcement promoting Free the Children's Adopt a Village program. The ad, called "How Far," broke yesterday on CHUM television stations nationally, including Citytv, MuchMusic, Star!, Space, Bravo and FashionTelevisionChannel. The 30-second commercial was produced pro bono by CHUM's creative services department. The ad depicts a young woman pushing a goat in a cart through locations such as a park and a street. The woman finally delivers the goat to a family in Africa. The ad uses the copy, "How far do you have to go to change the world?" The intent is to encourage viewers to adopt a village through a website at <http://www.freethechildren.com>. The Adopt a Village program provides education, healthcare services, alternative income projects, drinking water and sanitation systems to communities in China, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Sri Lanka.
