Financial Planners Standards Council resumes RRSP radio campaign

The Toronto-based Financial Planners Standards Council has begun a radio and transit advertising campaign. This is the third year the organization has conducted this campaign, which is tied to RRSP season. The initiative is built around a series of talk radio programs featuring financial planners that will air in Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver between Feb. 18 and Feb. 26. Each show will be promoted with 30-second radio commercials. Bus advertising will also be used in Toronto. "Our goal is to remind Canadians of the value of life-long financial planning as guided by a professional financial planner at a time when personal finance is top-of-mind," said Ann Bowman, vice-president of communications and corporate relations at the council. "The success of the last two years has made it clear to us that Canadians value the advice CFP professionals offer." The campaign was created by Clique. Walker Media handled media buying. Media relations are being provided by Chadnick Communications.
