Montreal-based Transcontinental has become the co-publisher of a new Canadian version of men's lifestyle website AskMen.com. Transcontinental holds a 50% stake in the new site, located at <http://ca.askmen.com>. The company will be the exclusive seller of advertising on the site. The firm will also contribute content in the form of articles from its magazines. Additional original daily content will be reproduced from the parent site. This is the first country-specific version of AskMen.com, which launched in 2000. "This partnership not only augments our men's lifestyle content offering, but also delivers to our advertisers an instant, strong showing in the coveted male 18-34 demographic," said Yves Daoust, general manager for new media at Transcontinental "This agreement is part of our commitment to realizing the full potential of our established magazine readership in specific communities of interest by complementing it with an enhanced online presence and derivative products and services." AskMen.com is a division of IGN Entertainment, which is a unit of Fox Interactive Media.
