TRAVELLER INFORMATION GUIDE COMES TO HOTEL TVS

Tele-Direct Publications of Toronto is launching an interactive city guide shown on hotel room TVs. It offers hotel guests information about dining, local attractions, entertainment, shopping, transportation and hotel services. When a viewer makes a selection, a 30-second presentation combining photos and graphics comes up on the screen, accompanied by an audio voice-over. There are also maps to the advertiser's establishment on the screen, which can be printed for pick-up at the hotel's front desk. The guide will be available at the Mariott-Eaton Centre in Toronto this year and will roll out to other Toronto-area hotels in early 1997.
