Loyalty program company Points International of Toronto and Microsoft-owned music download service MSN Music have formed an agreement by which members of the Points.com program will be able to redeem their loyalty points for music. Points.com users can redeem or trade points from approximately 25 reward programs, including Aeroplan, American Airlines Aadvantage, Asia Miles, Cendant TripRewards, Delta SkyMiles, the Gold Points Reward Network, the Intercontinental Hotels Group Priority Club and Starbucks. "For our consumers, MSN Music represents a very compelling option to do more with their miles and points," said Rob MacLean, CEO of Points International. "Music downloads, whether of one song or 100, are a great way to make use of small and odd lots of miles or points," said Christine Andrews, lead product manager for MSN at Microsoft. According to the company, MSN Music carries approximately one million licensed songs from major music labels and independents.
