Burger King promotes Chicken Fries

Toronto-based fast food chain Burger King Canada is promoting a new menu item called BK Chicken Fries. The product consists of battered chicken strips with a dipping sauce served in a container designed to fit in a car's cup holder. The Canadian marketing for the chicken fries used the tagline, "A revolution in chicken." The campaign includes one 30-second and two 15-second television commercials, in both English and French, plus three radio ads. The television ads depict chickens staging revolutions on their farms. In one ad, a farmer and his wife are trapped in a barn by chickens. In the second ad, chickens in a tractor chase two farmers. In the third ad, a farmer's wife wakes up to find herself surrounded by chickens. Advertising for Burger King Canada is handled by Communications Bleu Blanc Rouge of Montreal. Public relations are provided by Pilot Public Relations of Toronto.
