Labatt holds faux beach party in Toronto

Labatt Breweries of Canada conducted a special street event in downtown Toronto on Aug. 11 to promote its Labatt Blue brand. During the event, called "Beach on the Street," 14 tonnes of sand were used to convert Dundas Square into a beach scene. The beach featured lounge chairs, umbrellas, palm trees and a free concert by The Marble Index. According to the company, the Dundas Square event was intended to promote the annual "Blue Motel Concert and Beach Party" that will take place in Wasaga Beach, ON on Aug. 27. Public relations for the event were conducted by Hill & Knowlton Canada of Toronto.
