New marketing vice-president at Sandman Hotels

Vancouver-based Sandman Hotels, Inns & Suites has appointed Salim Kassam vice-president of marketing. He will oversee all marketing for the company's 31 properties in Canada. Kassam was previously marketing director at the hotel chain. Prior to that, he was marketing director at MacDonald Hotels and Forte Hotels in the UK.
