Puma prepares pursuit promotion

Toronto-based athletic footwear company Puma Canada is readying a marketing campaign for an upcoming event called "Puma Pursuit." The event will be a 10K urban adventure race that will take place in Toronto on October 1. Entrants will compete in teams that will use clues to find a series of checkpoints. Publicis Dialog is currently developing a communication plan for the race and coordinating with its sponsors, PowerBar and retailer The Running Room. The campaign includes posters, flyers and Web-based materials. "Puma's objective was to increase awareness of the brand in the performance sport category and solidify their position as a credible brand in the running and training category," said Diane Wysocki, general manager of Publicis Dialog. "We have created a unique and fun event that will resonate with the running community and speaks to athleticism and metropolitan savvy."
