Canadian Cancer Society breaks spring campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Cancer Society will conduct an advertising campaign this month in support of its most important annual fundraising effort, Daffodil Month. The campaign, created by Goodgoll Vendramin, will seek to raise awareness of the fundraising drive through transit shelter, poster, radio, newspaper and magazine advertising. The print advertising shows a drooping daffodil along with some upside-down copy. When the reader turns the ad around to read the text, the flower appears to point up. The copy reads, "You make a difference when you buy a daffodil." The transit and poster executions depict daffodils viewed through peep holes and mail slots. These ads are intended to remind viewers that society volunteers will be collecting door-to-door donations this month. The campaign will run through April in selected markets nationally.
