The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada has appointed Fleishman Hillard its public relations agency of record. The firm will work to raise the profile of the society and increase its fundraising potential. The national not-for-profit organization funds research into the disease and provides services for people impacted by it. Its main fundraising events include the Super Cities Walk for MS, the Rona MS Bike Tour, the MS Carnation Campaign and the MS Read-A-Thon. "Our growing sophistication as an organization has led us to this point," said Deanna Groetzinger, vice-president of communications for the society. "Our goal is to serve as the primary voice on all MS-related issues while simultaneously supporting our fund raising programs through the media."
