University of Alberta students promote new Intuit product
By Adnews Staff
Intuit Canada of Edmonton has begun a program in association with the University of Alberta to promote a new product called SnapTax. The product is an online tax return application aimed at Canadians who have simple tax situations. A senior class of marketing students from the university has been divided into eight groups and given the assignment of creating a marketing plan for the product with a budget of $500. The groups will then compete to see which one can generate the most completed tax returns before the April 30 deadline. With assistance from Intuit's marketing and product staff, these plans will be implemented in the city of Edmonton over the next several weeks.
