RALLY ASSOCIATION BEGINS AGENCY SEARCH

The Toronto-based Canadian Association of Rallysport has begun a search for a marketing agency. The association is the governing body amateur rally racing in Canada. The selected agency will coordinate sponsorship activities and direct the commercial and communications activities for the annual Canadian Rally Championship series of races. "We are looking for a firm with demonstrated experience in televised sports, with a proven ability to build a base of strong corporate supporters, and the ability to work in two languages, at both the grass-roots and national levels," said organization president Terry Epp. The organization will issue a request for proposals this week and hopes to make a decision early next year. The association does not currently have an agency. CARS plans to offer the winning firm a
revenue sharing agreement based on services provided and performance.
