ALIANT HOLDS FREE LONG DISTANCE PROMOTION

Aliant will conduct a one-day, free long distance calling promotion this weekend. On Sunday the company will offer free direct-dialed, residential long distance calls within Atlantic Canada made from a home or Aliant cell phone. "This one-day promotion is our way of thanking our customers for their business and helping them to stay connected with friends and family around Atlantic Canada this Thanksgiving Sunday," said Aliant vice-president of broadband and marketing Heather Tulk. The one-day promotion is being promoted with a television commercial which broke on Monday. The ad was created by Extreme of Halifax.
