CBC APPOINTS MERCHANDISING DIVISION PRESIDENT

René Bourdages has been appointed president of the CBC/Radio Canada merchandising division. Bourdages' previous positions include executive vice-president of broadcasting and operations at Groupe TVA, executive vice-president of sales, products and marketing for Super Ecran and Canal Indigo at Astral Media and director of development at Cogeco Radio-Television. CBC/Radio Canada's merchandising division operates Cbcshop.ca and retail outlets.
