PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION BEGINS EDUCATION CAMPAIGN

The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada has begun a public education campaign to coincide with Prostate Cancer Awareness Week. The tagline of the campaign, which will run for a year, is "Time to Check Under the Hood?" "What we are asking men over 40 years old to do is treat their bodies like the car of their dreams, and check under the hood regularly to test for prostate cancer," said John Blanchard, president of the foundation. The foundation will use this message in its promotional and education materials as well as in its direct mail program and online ads. The foundation's Web site at <http://www.prostatecancer.ca> has also been updated for the campaign. Toronto-based Field Day developed the campaign. Public relations are being handled by Praxis Public Relations of Toronto.
