CANADIAN MUSIC CENTRE PROMOTES NEW PLACES FESTIVAL

The Canadian Music Centre of Toronto is promoting a festival called New Music in New Places that will run from Sept. 24 to March 2005. During that time, local composers and musicians from accross the country will perform at community venues. These venues will include a New Brunswick penitentiary and an office tower in Montreal. The Communications Group of Toronto will handle public relations for the festival. The agency, which was hired based on a referral, will also be a sponsor of the festival. New Music in New Places will also be sponsored by the SOCAN Foundation, the Government of Canada, Canada NewsWire and Bowdens Media Monitoring.
