TVB HOSTS AUTOMOTIVE MARKETING SEMINAR
By Adnews Staff
The Television Bureau of Canada is hosting its first Television Automotive Forum next month. The three-hour event for car dealers and manufacturers will address changing consumer trends. New car sales are on the decline while used cars and leasing are increasing in popularity. In the U.S. used car superstores are being run by companies such as Circuit City Electronics and Blockbuster Video. The seminar will feature speakers such as DesRosiers Automotive Consultants president Dennis DesRosiers, and The Dohring Company business development vice-president David Kalmus. TVB advertiser development vice-president Gary Masters will talk about the power of TV automotive advertising and address the importance of branding and relationship marketing. Twenty TVB member stations are hosting the seminar, which starts in Toronto on April 10 and goes to six other cities in the next nine days. The TVB is planning to hold another forum at a later date.
