TIM HORTONS PROMOTES BREAD BOWL

Tim Hortons is promoting the limited-time return of Chicken Stew in a Bread Bowl with a four-week advertising campaign from Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto. Media planning and buying were handled by Excelerator Media, also of Toronto. The television, radio and outdoor advertising will run nationally in Canada and in some U.S. markets through November. The 30-second TV commercial shows people fixing a jammed photocopier and stapling a stack of papers. A voiceover says, "All day long, you give it your all. And when the road turns rocky, well, you just keep rocking. And when the sun hits high noon, you know you deserve a lunch that works just as hard as you do." In the two radio ads, people ask, "If bread can be used to make bowls, what else can you make with it?" The three ads end with details about the chicken stew combo. The advertising is being supported with in-store promotion. Separate television and radio creative has been developed by Enterprise/J Walter Thompson for Quebec.
