TORONTO YELLOW PAGES DEBUTS NEW LOOK
By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based Yellow Pages Group has created a new look for the 2003/2004 editions of its Toronto East and Toronto West directories. The re-design was performed by Grapheme of Montreal. The new cover page shows the city skyline. The directories now include a restaurant menu guide, community and entertainment information pages, city maps, transit schedules and seating plans for various venues. A "Secret Access Code" contest is being used to promote the books. A number is printed on the inside cover of each copy. Consumers can enter by submitting that number through a Web page or a toll-free number up to four times a year. Instant win prizes include a car and $500 automotive gift certificates. Distribution of the 2003/2004 directories is expected to be complete by the end of June. Public relations for the re-designed books are being handled by Fleishman-Hillard of Toronto. According to Pierre Carriere, director of marketing communications for Yellow Pages Group, the new look will also be used on directories for Etobicoke, Scarborough and North York, ON, as well as directories in Quebec.
