TORO MAGAZINE RETAINS HOLMES AND LEE
By Adnews Staff
TORO Magazine has hired Toronto-based Holmes and Lee to handle its advertising. According to John Lee, president of the agency, TORO spoke to "a few agencies" before making its decision. The agency's first assignment was a print ad in The Globe and Mail prior to the launch of the magazine. The headline read, "A man thinks about sex every 44.7 seconds. In TORO, you'll find the stuff he thinks about in between." The men's magazine debuted on April 15. Distribution of the inaugural issue consisted of 180,000 copies to subscribers of The Globe and Mail, 100,000 copies to some CIBC AeroGold Visa suctomers and 35,000 copies to newsstands nationally.
