VICKERS & BENSON CREATES CAMPAIGN FOR AIR TRANSPORT SECURITY AUTHORITY
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Vickers & Benson Companies has created a print campaign for the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority. The national effort is the first project the agency has completed since winning the account in late January. CATSA is a government agency that oversees certain areas of air travel security. The bilingual advertising campaign broke during the week of March 27. It is running nationally in major daily newspapers and consumer magazines. The first ad shows an X-ray image of a briefcase. The contents include a set of keys, a cell phone, pens, papers and a concealed knife. According to the copy, while viewers may not have noticed the knife, screening officers of CATSA have been trained to observe any potential weapons or suspicious-looking articles. The ad also describes security measures CATSA has implemented, which include the installation of screening equipment and explosives-detection systems at airports. Additional creative will be released as the campaign progresses.
