The "Aphro-Women" image which is the focus of Scott Thornley & Company's new branding campaign for CanStage is not only a reference to Alberta Hunter of "Cookin' at the Cookery." It also refers to the African teenager in "The Syringa Tree" and the mythic heroine of "Pélagie, An Acadian Odyssey."
